Muitas das pessoas presentes estavam caracterizadas com roupas da tradição gaúcha ou das instituições que representavam e levaram cartazes com escritos, imagens e bandeiras que ilustravam a cultura do estado. Segundo a professora Elizangela Stella, este dia foi muito positivo porque ajudou a cultivar as tradições da região e a despertar o espírito da cultura gaúcha. Para representar os alunos, Elizangela levou ao desfile o banner do projeto Vôlei em Rede.
