During minivôlei classes the months of August and September, students of Guaratuba Core Volleyball category experienced a different activity, called King and Queen of the Court. The objective was to work the importance of collaboration among members of a team through animated games of volleyball. The result was very positive and, on 14 September, teenagers gathered to discover the winning play, enter a sweepstakes, watch a film chosen by themselves and snack. All this with a lot of excitement and joy. Games and celebrations took place in the State College Mayor Joaquim da Silva Mafra, headquarters of the project classes Initiation Centers to Volleyball in Paraná.
To perform the play, the teacher core, Cassia Graciotto, formed different teams each class, so that everyone could play each other. The result of each was recorded individually at the end of the matches and those who earned the most wins in the period received the title of King and Queen of the Court. Altogether they were performed 11 games. According to her, the event served to strengthen the importance of unity, "the strength of a team is as a whole and not just in individual talent".
After a month and a half games, on 14 September, an awards party was organized, complete with movies and snack. Students found out who were the winners and talked about the activity that had as sources of inspiration phrases written by the CEO of the Institute Share and volleyball coach Rezende. Themselves concluded that although some students have won more games than others, they could only victories with the help of others. What shows how teamwork is important, ie, the strength is in the set not just on individual talent. "This conclusion is so sure that it was realized that the two strongest students (technically better) did not reach the most wins," said Cassia.
At the party, they participated in a raffle giveaways (through the purchase of raffle tickets that become viable snack) and finally watched the movie "Maze Runner", chosen by the students themselves, but the second Cassia, coincidentally, the film helped to strengthen values like cooperation and autonomy worked by the project.
After winning a match, the student Gabriel Ferreira, 14, realized he would have chance to be king of the court. As it turns out he was right? Along with it also won the game students Iana Natalino, de Mello Nathaly and Vitor Carvalho. They were crowned and received custom T-shirts for the activity.
