Because of the United Nations Conference for the so-called Sustainable Development Rio + 20, and with it the temporary prohibition of Personnel Studies Center (CEP), the location of the Strong Core Leme - Rio / RJ, students had their transferred lessons to Leme Beach. In the period 11-28 of June, the beneficiaries of the Sport in Action project had the opportunity to experience new experiences and practice outdoor sports.
Classes met the terms volleyball, beach volleyball and capoeira and break the routine of children and adolescents who have discovered the sand as a new ally. "I enjoyed the classes on the beach because it gave to jump on the floor. It was great fun and we lost afraid to make some difficult moves, "says Lucas de Carvalho, 14, from category Mini 4 × 4 and Capoeira.
Even with positives of playing on the beach, students teachers and core engineers share their opinions between positive and negative divergence and the main factors are relative to climate conditions, physical infrastructure and transport materials. According to the coordinator of the nucleus, Karina Lins e Silva, the ability to innovate in beach activities is much higher, and visibility, which ultimately publicize the project. Another positive point she said was the support of the Municipal School St. Thomas Aquinas who kept the class material will be shown.
Taking advantage of the transfer, the teachers realized the opportunity to work with the Rio + 20 students. For João Pedro da Silva, 10 years the conference involves animal protection, nature conservation and waste recycling, and Renan Marques, 12 years category Mini 3 × 3 concludes: "from what I know representatives of various countries came together to talk how we care for our planet.
