On Saturday, the 6th of April, there was the Mini Volleyball Festival Barigui 2013 in Curitiba / PR, which was part of the celebration of World Health Day, held by the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) in partnership with the Institute Share. About a thousand people took part in various activities such as walking, exercises, nutrition guidelines and games. The Mayor of Curitiba, Gustavo Fruet, the Municipal Secretary of Sports, Leisure and Youth (SMELJ), Aluisio de Oliveira, and the athlete of the Brazilian volleyball, Giba - who signed autographs and took photos with the community - were also present.
Families and people who have been in Barigui Park, this day, might participate in the activities developed. "I live in an apartment and this is an opportunity to do physical activity," said Eveline Cunha Moura, accompanied by her husband and son. Her friends, Eduarda Vaz and Ana Cecilia Carvalho (12 years) and Amanda Ribeiro (13 years) loved the party, because everyone could interact and participate.
Besides volleyball, the Institute Share held a puppet paint shop, where people were encouraged to reflect on the benefits of physical activity. Those who leave a message in support of World Health Day, paper dolls, won a T-shirt. The Central Nucleus students - Curitiba / PR Initiation Centers project to Volleyball in Paraná, Allana Luize Linhares and Laryssa Lohane dos Santos, 13, the category Mini 4 × 4 learned the festival by teachers and found pretty cool. The mother of the former student of design and current volleyball athlete Suelle Oliveira, Irani Franco Prado, attended the celebration and said the volleyball activities are very good for the leisure elderly and commented that always encouraged her daughter to practice this sport.
The coordinator of the SMS events, Celso Augusto Silveira, decided to invite the Institute Share to assemble miniquadras and complement the activities offered because he knows the good work carried out by the organization. "I wanted to invite all that is good only to provide positive experiences to the community," said Celso. He also said that their expectations have been exceeded, both with regard to the organization, as many people and the weather, which was sunny. He said the goal was to promote health through physical activity.
The event was sponsored jointly by the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS), Municipal Secretariat for the Environment (SMMA), Municipal Secretary of Sports, Leisure and Youth (SMELJ), Ministry of Health (SESA) and Ministry of Health.
