On the last day of October, about 40 children and adolescents core São Vicente in Campinas / SP had an afternoon somewhat different, with the teacher Geraldo Godinho. All went on a bus donated by the city, partner in the project, and were making a visit to the Taquaral Park to participate in the Beach Volleyball Workshop. Upon arrival, the physical education teacher Alexander, who is part of the Volleyball Association, waiting for them to make a short talk on the Beach Volleyball. The children were excited and did a lot to ask curious.
After the lecture, the students headed to the volleyball courts, where they held a collective heating guided by Alexander. Then they divided into two blocks in the categories Mini 4 × 4 and Volleyball, Mini 2 × 2 and 3 × 3 Mini, forming teams of four or more children. Because of the excessive heat, the support team watered the courts for students to throw more after a refreshment in the park showers. A special surprise came to cheer the staff. "The former athlete Virna who has won bronze Olympic medals in Atlanta and Sydney, arrived mid-afternoon and met students so that they knew and talked a little with her," says the coordinator of the Network Volleyball project in the city Sandra Morello. "Once we know the main Arena Beach Volleyball. Students won caps, shirts and snack kit. And before they left, won ice cream popsicle, "he concludes.
The visit of the children to the park and the arena was evaluated very positively. Values such as respect, responsibility, cooperation and autonomy, were passed to the students in various ways, through their teachers, during games and at the time of socialization among them.
