Organized by the students, the Volleyball Festival that took place at the Center Londrina / PR Initiation Centers project to Volleyball in Paraná, brought together about 50 students in the College Olimpya Morais Storm, the location of the school. The event provided a fun-filled day and volleyball.
The games held during the festival had free format, the queuing system was determined by category and in order of arrival, which provided a constant exchange between team members and facilitated the exchange of experience. Students took care of all stages of the event, from the organization, exercising autonomy in making decisions, cooperation and responsibility to make the event happen as best as possible and respect, implicit in all actions in and out of court.
With the opportunity to play with different colleagues throughout the event, young people experienced more moments of integration. "Using a different strategy from the usual format of the festivals caused a greater exchange and socialization among students," said Osvaldo Nascimento, core teacher.
At one point of the festival, which brought together only student category Mini 4 × 4 and Volleyball, the youngest participants were able to play in courts of different categories of its original, and thus experience the game format that will participate in subsequent years.
The practice of values Cooperation, Respect, Responsibility and Autonomy at festivals, for the teacher Osvaldo consolidates everything is working in the classroom everyday, and that with more playing time effective, students are more motivated. "I was very happy with the aggregate results for the festival. Students Mini 4 × 4 were impressed mostly with the looting and attacks of the Volleyball students, and commented want to perform the same way these fundamentals future. I as a teacher, I found interesting this kind of comment, as develops these students a motivation to work in class, "he concludes.
