Confederations Cup held by the Central Core brings together participants for exciting games.
Taking advantage of the climate of the Confederations Cup in football, students and Central Core teachers organized the Confederations Cup in volleyball, on 28 June, and just like the players of the Brazilian national soccer team, the male and female teams representing the Brazil also competed in the final. The event was held at the Gymnasium of the Sports Secretariat of State, where they happen the volleyball classes, and was attended by youth of Duque de Caxias Club and the Association of Volleyball in Paraná (AVP), totalizando105 participants from 14 and 15 years. The moment of laughter favored the realization of autonomy activities and the production of posters that included the flag, curiosities and culture of other countries represented by teams and selected by young people themselves.

After running the national anthem, the teams divided by gender and keys were on the court to start the games. The matches of the first phase, qualifying, were played in a set of 25 points, and the 13th point teams who had reservations were replacements. For the pedagogical coordinator of the project Nuclei Initiation Volleyball in Parana, Josmar Coelho, this exchange happened very well. "They knew how to perform the activity without repeating the same students, even this not being charged," he says. In addition, students who did not play in certain rounds participated as referees, line judges and pointing.
Throughout the event, young people were encouraged to perform tasks involving the value of autonomy, as the choice of the members of the teams and the staff member responsible for assisting in the arbitration of other games. "Here it is worth noting that in addition to officiate the matches, the selected student should have insight, interpretation and attitude in their decisions," said Josmar. They also decided the team captain and substitutions during matches.

Central Core Confederations Cup, the countries chosen by the students were Brazil, Japan, Tahiti, Italy, Spain, Uruguay, Mexico and Nigeria, and the teams were able to play the final represented Brazil and Spain, in the male, coincidentally as in the Cup final of football confederations, and Brazil and Italy in the women's. Finally, thanks were made to all participants and there was delivery of medals to the top four. In a small study, teachers found that most students enjoyed the event and the different format of the game, each team representing a country. Young people also highlighted the fact that the classes are met, the opportunity to make new friendships, and the union of colleagues during matches.
