In order to encourage children and adolescents to approach the books and develop a love of reading, the Children's Institute in partnership with Editora Sextant, created in August 2007 in Rio de Janeiro, the Reading Time program. The project operates in public schools, including the Municipal School St. Thomas Aquinas, where many students do Leme Fort Core study. On December 5, the program held the Graduation of Mirins Readers and celebrated eight years of partnership with the school.
The core coordinator Karina Lins e Silva was representing the Institute Share at the ceremony, held in the school auditorium and featured the participation of tutors of the program.
After the teens read short excerpts from some books, the director of the Barbara Belanga school thanked the presence of all and the partnership of those involved, such as the Institute Share.
The graduating students received certificates and some toast books, and at the end of the event everyone could interact for a snack served by the school.
