Festival of Sao Jose dos Pinhais brings together children and adolescents who play volleyball for a day of fun in an exchange of experiences and training friendships.
The Sport and Leisure Centre Max Rosenmann, popularly known as Gym Afonso Pena, hosted a very special event for students of Afonso Pena and City Garden centers participating in the project minivôlei classes Sport in Action. During the festival minivôlei São José dos Pinhais / PR, held on Saturday, May 23, they could train their technical skills of volleyball with other children and adolescents who also practice the sport, and have fun, make new friends and participate in a workshop recycling for making toys. In all, 140 participants attended, including four gyms asked the Department of Sport and Recreation (Semel) City: Borda do Campo, Jardim Marambaia, Quissisana and Santos Dumond.
It is the third time the event takes place in the region, due to the success achieved in past editions. This time was no different and had the support of several people focused on the same goal: to provide children and teens a fun day and a lot of learning! The recycling workshop was one example. The art teacher of the Department of Education of Paraná and director of the College Afonso Pena, Lais Hykavei, was responsible for guiding the participants to produce toys with plastic bottles. According to the Sports Action volleyball teacher, Gabriele Benetti, they learned to recycle in a playful moment. "Once finished, were playing and having fun," noted Gabriele. Academics PUCPR physical education also collaborated in both workshop activities such as the organization of the games, by mobilizing Trainee Center Cidade Jardim, Ricardo Damasio, who is also president of the Academic Center of the physical education program at the university.

Speaking of games, enter the volleyball popular verses seems to be the realization of a dream of the kids and Gabriele teacher knows this well. "A month before the event, I commented that they would represent the project at the festival and other centers of Sao Jose dos Pinhais participate. They were very excited and curious to know the teams who would play! It was an incentive for participation in class, "he said. In addition to the sport, the students practiced during activities the values taught in classes such as cooperation, respect and responsibility. "We had no case to fight or disagreement during the games," noted cores coordinator Afonso Pena and City Garden Project Sport in Action, Fabiano Prado.
Recycling workshop is cause for celebration among the participants of the festival, which is divided between the courts of games and activities for the development of toys.
As a feature of these events that bring together multiple cores, children and adolescents were asked to play in teams of students from different locations. It's in these moments that beginners learn more about the hardships in the field, the importance of respecting colleagues, to socialize and make new friends. Finally, gifts were given to the participants who scored higher, as balls, and were drawn backpacks and t-shirts. For all received a souvenir of the event were also distributed squeezes the Institute Share. The presence of parents at the festival was essential, mainly because they could track a little more work with your children and encourage sports.
