On 23 and 24 October, at SESC Vila Mariana in São Paulo / SP, came the biannual meeting of the representatives of members of the Network Sport for Social Change (Rems). The goal was to present and validate the strategic plan developed with the advice pair at the last meeting - on 24 and 26 September - and set a plan of action for the next two years.
Following the methodology couple, members are divided according to the Great Action Lines (GLA), each with a leader who on this occasion presented the proposed action plans on the setting of social sport in the country. With this, all discussed and validated the actions presented. The ORFs are Internal and External Communication whose leader Veronica Marques (They Fund); Advocacy with Victor Barau (Athletes for Citizenship); Management with Luiz Fernando Nascimento (Share Institute); Resource mobilization with Joanna Dutra (Rumo Náutico Institute) and Information System with William Oliveira (Institute 'Magic).
Luiz Fernando Nascimento, executive manager of the Institute Share comments that the meeting was an important step in Rems. "The two-day meeting were very valid so we could align and define several points with all other members of the Rems" he says.
As one of the last day activities Alice Gismonti, Access to Sports department of Nike in Brazil and representative of the campaign Designed to Move (Designed to jogging), presented the work developed by Nike, marriage fruit of scientific research, in the fight against global inactivity. The goal is to unite efforts of individuals, companies, institutions and governments that can and wanted to change this situation. Several organizations - including the Rems - signed the campaign to make it even stronger. (Www.designedtomove.org).
The Wings Institute, new supportive partner network, closed the meeting with a dynamic group experience. Most representatives of Rems members was to join the Congress Moves 2012 which also happened in the SESC Vila Mariana 24-26 of October.
The Sport for Social Change Network (Rems) is an organization founded in 2007 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Nike Brazil whose mission is to promote the coordination and integration of national and international organizations public, private and Third industry to produce knowledge and actions about the sport as instrument of social transformation.
